Brief summary
The aim of the work was to study the quality of apheresis platelet concentrates (PC) and erythrocyte suspensions (ES) obtained by multicomponent donation.
Material and methods. The object of the study was PC and ES obtained by multicomponent apheresis in regular donors. Recruitment and examination of donors was carried out in accordance with the requirements of regulatory documents. Procedure was performed using a closed-type consumable kit with single-needle access. ACD-a solution was used as an anticoagulant. Treatment of isolated erythrocytes was carried out in automatic mode using a preservative solution for storage of erythrocytes (SAGM).
Quality indicators PC and ES investigated in accordance with the requirements of regulations. The obtained PC data were compared with those obtained in multicomponent platelet and plasma donation and those obtained in single-component platelet apheresis. Indicators of quality ES were compared with those of ES, prepared using the doses donated blood.
Samples of components were tested by the recommended methods with the help of laboratory equipment having the certificate of conformity and registered in the State Register of medical devices of Roszdravnadzor.
Statistical processing of the material was carried out using the package of statistical programs Microsoft Excel 2016.
Results. The quality indicators of PC obtained by combined platelet and erythrocyte donation corresponded to the indicators of PC harvested by other methods. Quality indicators ES, obtained with the combined donation of platelets and erythrocytes corresponded to the indicators ES made from the dose of blood. Both components met the requirements of national and international standards.
Conclusion. Quality indicators of therapeutic doses of PC and ES prepared by automatic apheresis in multicomponent platelet and erythrocyte donation met the requirements of national and international standards.
