Brief summary

In recent years, there has been an increase in bacterial resistance on a global scale due to the active uncontrolled use of antibiotics. Numerous studies report the antibacterial activity of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, local anaesthetics, phenothiazines such as chlorpromazine, levomepromazine, promethazine, trifluoperazine, methdilazine and thioridazine, antidepressants, antiplatelets and statins. In order to stop the spread of antibiotic resistance, many researchers propose to change the traditional approach to drug antimicrobial therapy, namely, to use drugs that do not have direct antimicrobial activity. Numerous studies report the antibacterial activity of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, local anaesthetics, phenothiazines such as chlorpromazine, levomepromazine, promethazine, trifluoperazine, methdilazine and thioridazine, antidepressants, antiplatelets and statins. This is extremely important both for infectious diseases and for the national security of the country, since the attention of biopathogens with pronounced resistance to antibiotics is many times more important for society than conventional research.

Key words
