Brief summary
A rather high survival rate is demonstrated at present in several malignant tumors types, and as a result the problem of late consequences of antineoplastic treatment gradually moves into forefront. An evaluation of this important issue is performed by scientific groups as well as clinicians. However, there is no accurate system of routing of cancer patients cured in very young age. This article presents data on gonadotoxicity of radiochemotherapy in this group of patients and concentrates on several measures helping to escape or correct undesirable consequences of such therapy. It is necessary to place emphasis on decrease of alkylating medicines and decrease of doses of radiotherapy, and also on prophylaxis of a secondary hypogonadism.
