Brief summary

Reconstructive plastic operations of the head and neck surgery has specific requirements for the flaps? characteristics used to close defects in this area. Free skin-fascial forearm flap for more than 50 years is the most common tissue complex with optimal properties for replacing integumentary defects of the maxillofacial area. The main disadvantage restricts the use of this method is the wound of the donor area which in most cases requiring healing by autodermoplasty with a large number of complications. We have proposed a flap design that allows obtaining a sufficient amount of tissue and perform direct closure of the donor wound, which significantly improves long-term functional and aesthetic results.
