Brief summary

The review considers the main pathogenetic mechanisms of the formation of respiratory failure in organophosphate poisoning. In order to correct early respiratory failure, the expediency of developing inhalation therapy was noted. The prospects of inhaled use of bronchodilators from the classes of β2-adrenomimetics and M-cholinolytics as a means of relieving respiratory function disorders at the pre-medical stages of medical care (for use as independent and mutual assistance) are described. Data on the effectiveness of these drugs on models of organophosphorus poisoning of animals are presented. The current level of developments in the Russian Federation and abroad in the field of creating bronchodilators in inhaled form is characterized. Promising directions for improving the inhalation therapy of organophosphorus lesions are proposed, namely: - expansion of the arsenal of available means, including in inhalation form, for the relief of respiratory failure at the early stages of medical evacuation; - conducting a preclinical evaluation of the effectiveness of existing combined bronchodilators in order to expand the indications for their use; - development of an inhaled form of atropine for systemic use.

Key words

lesions of organophosphorus compounds, respiratory failure, bronchodilators, inhaled dosage form, powder inhaler with atropine.
