Evaluation of induced lipid peroxidation processes and markers of myocardial and erythrocyte damage in experimental peritonitis.

The paper assessed and established the relationship between the severity of endogenous intoxication (EI) caused by experimental peritonitis and the processes of lipid peroxidation (LPO) in myocardium and erythrocytes. It was revealed that during EI in myocardium the activity of creatine kinase (CK) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) decreases, their isoenzyme spectrum changes - the percentage of creatine kinase type 2 (MB fraction) decreases, LDH5 increases. The activity of the above enzymes in blood plasma at the same time increases. It was also found that the cardiotoxic effect in experimental peritonitis is determined by the content of low- and medium-mass molecules (ML und MMM) and oligopeptides.
