Imangulov Ravil Garifovich - a bright representative of the "generation of winners" (on the 100th anniversary of birth)

Brief summary

Abstract. The article is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of a participant in the Great Patriotic War, doctor of medical sciences, professor, colonel of the medical service Ravil Garifovich Imangulov. He made a significant contribution to the theory and practice of medical anti-chemical and anti-radiation protection of troops and the population, the formation of military toxicology, radiobiology and medical protection as a training discipline and a branch of military medical science. The article presents biographical materials dedicated to R.G. Imangulov. Data on his participation in the Great Patriotic War are indicated, where for the courage and heroism he was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the II degree, the Order of the Red Star, medals "For military merits and other medals and commemorative signs. Colonel of the Medical Service (1960), Doctor of Medical Sciences (1971), Professor (1972). From 1962 to 1966 he headed the Department of Medical Protection, from 1966 to 1972 - the Department of Weapons of Mass Destruction and Protection against It, and from 1972 to 1982 he served as professor and consultant to the Scientific Council of the Military Medical Academy named after S.M. Kirov. Professor R.G. Imangulov was a prominent specialist in the field of protection from weapons of mass destruction, author and co-author of more than 160 scientific papers. He participated in tests of weapons of mass destruction, special field experimental studies, a number of expeditions to the Arctic and the southern regions of the country. The main scientific areas of his activity were: substantiation of physiological and hygienic requirements and physiological and hygienic assessment of personal protective equipment for respiratory organs and skin, their impact on the work and combat effectiveness of troops; development of medical and technical requirements for means of medical protection, organizational forms and methods of medical protection of personnel of troops, wounded and sick, as well as protection of units and organizations of medical service from weapons of mass destruction.
