Brief summary
Research aimed to assess the use of HSP70 recombinant proteins and their prolonged-action derivatives for enhancing resistance to pulmonary toxicants and preventing toxic pulmonary edema on inhalation intoxication with nitrogen oxides was performed. A remedy against toxic pulmonary edema and for enhancement of pulmonary toxicants was developed. Recombinant HSP70 and its prolonged-action derivatives decrease leukocyte infiltration and the blood levels of the IL6 and HMGB1 anti-inflammatory cytokines and increase the blood level of the IL10 anti-inflammatory cytokine. They prevent the cytokine shock and toxic pulmonary edema and enhance resistance to pulmonary toxicants. The most expressed protective effect on inhalation intoxications with nitrogen oxides is characteristic of HSP7 conjugates with human IgG−Fc fragment (HSP70−Fc).
