The toxicity of the nanoscale form of 20-hydroxyecdysone in a single intragastric administration to rabbits

Brief summary

In the present work, the clathrate complex of 20-hydroxyecdysone with arabinogalactan in a ratio of 1:10 was first created, having a crystalline form and with an average particle size of 35.3 nm. For the first time, the toxicity of a nanoscale form of 20-hydroxyecdysone was studied for a single intragastric administration to Soviet Chinchilla rabbits at toxic doses of 10 and 50 mg / kg body weight. As a result of the studies, it was found that the nanoscale form of 20-hydroxyecdysone with a single intragastric administration to rabbits does not affect their behavior, changes in body weight and general condition, biochemical and hematological parameters of blood, and thus does not adversely affect the functional state of animal organs and systems.
