Brief summary
The purpose of our work was to establish the features of changes in the morphofunctional state of the liver in individuals working with highly toxic chemicals of organophosphorus nature. We examined 48 men of comparable age, divided into groups. The formation of groups of subjects was carried out on the basis of the results of hospital examination. The main criteria for inclusion in the groups were the data of ultrasound examination of the liver (increase in its size and increase in echogenicity) and belonging to various categories of work carried out at the enterprises of storage and destruction of organophosphorus compounds. The trophic status, data of biochemical parameters of blood serum, results of ultrasound examination of abdominal organs were evaluated. It was found that all the subjects showed signs of liver pathology. The possible variants of the pathogenesis of this pathology in the selected groups are discussed.
