Brief summary
The intensity of systemic inflammatory response on polytrauma is associated with variants of cytokines genes polymorphism and tends to complicated and long-durated course of nosocomial pneumonia in traumatized payients.
Goals and objectives. The investigation of TNFα G-308A and IL-10 GG (1082) haplotypes in traumatized patients with nosocomial pneumonia.
Materials and methods. In prospective cohort study 122 patients after polytrauma (94 males and 28 females) were included and divided into 2 groups ? with and without nosocomial pneumonia in posrtraumatic period (62 and 60 respectively). The distribution of haplotypes TNFα G308-А (GA or АА) and IL-10 GG (1082) was studied.
Results. Haplotypes TNFα G308-А (GA or АА) were more frequently in patients with nosocomial pneumonia after polytrauma. Haplotypes TNFα G308-А (GA or АА) and IL-10 GG (1082) were associated .with complicated and long-durated course of nosocomial pneumonia in traumatized payients.
Conclusions. Identification of TNFα (308) and IL-10 (1082) genotypes is cheap, safe and perspective method of complex diagnostics to prognose nosocomial pneumonia and its duration and complications in patients after polytrauma.
