Brief summary

Treatment using autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (AutoHSCT) in Russia obtains 1 of the 10 patients with hematological malignancies for whom it is necessary. This is problem solved by increasing capacity of existing federal medical centers and establishment of a new health infrastructure in the regions. But, as practice shows, problem of availability requires of modern clinical protocols patient selection with indications for AutoHSCT. Present review of recent clinical trials of autotransplantation is made with the aim of developing modern at present protocol for patient selection. This protocol can be recommended for clinical practice.

Key words

autologous transplantation, availability of health care, hematological malignancies, hematopoietic stem cells
