Organization of haematologist's work and structure of labour expenditure in the in-patient department according to timekeeping data

Brief summary
The article analyzes the structure of labour expenditure, factual workload and organization of work of doctors-haematologists in four in-patient departments of St. Petersburg. It was found out that the real labour expenditure exceeds the prescribed schedule in terms of time. The labour expenditure structure needs optimization - increasing the time of the doctor\'s actual contact with the patients and their relatives. It is necessary to provide for restructuring of the medical aid scope, which includes synchronized admission of planned patients to the in-patient department by days of the week, organization of day in-patient departments. In developing the doctor\'s workload norms, differentiated approach should be used, taking into account the specific operation of haematology departments. The obtained data may be used in setting and substantiating new workload norms for doctors providing specialized medical aid in a haematology in-patient department.
