Peculiarities of postural balance among men of elderly and senile age with different levels of falls risk

Brief summary

A computer stabilometry comparative study of postural balance among men aged 65–86 with different levels of falls risk was carried out. It is revealed that men aged 65–86 with an average falls risk based on the questionnaire «Falls Risk Status» have more pronounced changes in postural balance and postural stability functions compared to persons of the same age with low risk of falls. The results obtained suggest that this questionnaire «Falls Risk Status» is an effective tool in assessing the general condition of postural balance and postural stability function, among men of elderly and senile age.
