The methods for diagnosing and estimating the treatment effectiveness of the temporomandibular joint diseases

Brief summary

We devised the estimation algorithm for detecting the severity of the temporomandibular joint dysfunction and masticatory muscles parafunction of patients with the temporomandibular joint pathology. Also we suggested the morphometrical index for predicting the temporomandibular joint pathology using the method of ortopantomography and the index for determining the effectiveness of its treatment. The electron microstethoscope for determining the sound phenomenons during the functional load of temporomandibular joint was also devised and tested. The introduced methods for predicting and clinical registering the functional pathology of the masticatory apparatus and estimation of its cure rate open up the new possibilities not only in diagnosing and estimating the temporomandibular joint cure rate, but also in documenting the temporomandibular joint pathology during its treatment.
